About This Project
This project for Tony Costigan in Risdon Park, South Australia, involved the removal of an old solar setup and the installation of a comprehensive new energy system. Completed on October 17, 2025, by Sunbeam Solar & Electrical Solutions, the upgrade is designed for high energy production and self-sufficiency. The new system features a 13.2kW solar array consisting of 30 EGing 440W panels. This is coupled with a large-scale 20kWh SAJ battery storage unit (Model B2-20.0-HV1) to store excess energy for use day and night. The installation utilizes a dual-inverter configuration with a Solis 10kW grid-tied inverter managing the solar generation and a SAJ 10kW hybrid inverter managing the battery storage and backup capabilities.
