About This Project
This project involved the complete installation of a new grid-connected solar and battery storage system for a residential property in Walkerville, South Australia. The system was designed by Stewart Nyamumhu and installed by Sunbeam Solar & Electrical Solutions. The generation side consists of 23 high-performance DAS Solar 440W panels, delivering a total rated output of 10.12kW. To maximize self-sufficiency, the system includes a substantial storage solution comprising four Growatt ALP 5.0L-E1 lithium-ion batteries, providing a total nominal capacity of 20kWh. This setup is managed by a Growatt SPH 5000TL-HUB hybrid inverter, ensuring efficient energy management and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) capability. The installation includes full electrical safety compliance and connection to the grid.
